GET TO KNOW YOUR WORLD Starting on the 27th of July, Interhealth-WAMSS is proud to announce its newest initiative: the Global Health Short Course. The Global Health Short Course (GHSC) is a FREE eight week course, with a public lecture on a new topic in global health every Monday starting at 5:00pm at Tattersall Lecture Theatre. The topics to be presented are:
- Week 1: The way things are
- Week 2: Making poverty history
- Week 3: Getting shot is bad for your health + No place to call home
- Week 4: Access to essential medicines
- Week 5: It’s getting hot in here + When disaster strikes
- Week 6: Closing the gap
- Week 7: Mums and Bubs
- Week 8: AIDS
Each week, a guest lecturer with extensive knowledge and reputation within their field of expertise will present these lectures. Handouts will be available at the lectures, with optional pre-readings and recordings of the lectures uploaded each week to the Interhealth Website.
