Women’s health is important for so many different reasons. Not only do women experience a large health burden when they are pregnant and go through childbirth, the health of the women in a community is very important for that community’s survival (as is the health of the men) – they are often the person to cook and clean for the family, and provide much of the labour in rural communities.
