In week eight we will explore the AIDS epidemic with Jacqui Gilmour and Dr David Wilson. This global health lecture aims to address the history, scientific basis and global distribution of HIV and AIDS, and for the attendees to leave with an awareness of the current strategies for combating this serious and growing epidemic. What are the developments on the horizon involved in combating HIV/AIDS? What are the problems with these treatments? To what extent are the rates increasing or decreasing?
